(Português do Brasil) Seminário: TWO CHANNEL ANDERSON MODEL – A QUICK GLANCE

In this seminar, PhD student Luiz Felipe Scatena Guizado will discuss certain aspects of the Anderson two-channel model and some previously obtained results through the diagonalization of the model using the numerical renormalization group (NRG) technique. Some of these results include the presence of the Kondo effect for the model at low temperatures and the compensation of the Kondo effect, which may or may not appear depending on the parameters considered in the model.
Luiz holds a master’s degree in Materials Science from the Institute of Physics at UFMS. He works in the field of statistical mechanics and strongly correlated electronic systems. During his master’s, he used a numerical renormalization group to investigate the two-channel Anderson model.
